Saturn in 2027: Pisces, Aries and back to Pisces

Saturn spends the first five months of 2027 in Pisces, moves into Aries on 3 June, and returns to Pisces on 20 October, where it stays until the end of the year. It enters Aries again on 24 February 2028. These are sidereal (Lahiri) dates, and your panchang may show a day's difference.

The return comes from retrograde motion. Between 10 August and 24 December 2027 Saturn appears to move backwards, and that carries it out of Aries and back into Pisces. This makes 2027 a bridge year: the Pisces lessons continue, while the Aries months give a preview of the next Saturn chapter.

What it means for your Moon sign

For a general Rashi forecast, Saturn is counted from your Moon sign (Janma Rashi). When Saturn is in the 12th, 1st or 2nd house from the Moon, the signs are in Sade Sati, the seven-and-a-half-year Saturn cycle. When it is in the 4th or the 8th, the classical names are Ardhashtama Shani and Ashtama Shani, and the pressure is felt on home and on sudden changes. When it is in the 3rd, 6th or 11th, Saturn supports steady progress.

The Pisces months put Mesha (12th), Meena (1st) and Kumbha (2nd) in Sade Sati. For the Aries months the picture changes. Saturn is then in the 12th house for Vrishabha, which is where that sign's Sade Sati begins, in the 1st for Mesha, which starts its peak phase, and in the 2nd for Meena, the closing phase. Kumbha handles family-finance discipline in Pisces and gets some relief in Aries. Kumbha's Sade Sati ends on 24 February 2028. Vrishabha's starts with the first Aries visit in June, pauses during the return to Pisces and resumes on that same date.
