Refund Policy

IMPORTANT — READ FIRST
All prices include 18% GST. GST is remitted to the Government of India and cannot be returned to us. Payment gateway charges (~2–2.5%) are also non-recoverable. Any approved refund is processed for the net amount after these deductions — not the full amount paid. See Section 2 for full details.

1. Overview
Sri Devi Astro is committed to fair and transparent refund practices. This policy covers all paid services offered through our platform: one-on-one consultations, written astrology reports, and "Ask One Question" micro-reports.
Please read this policy carefully before making a purchase. By completing a payment, you acknowledge that you have read and accepted these terms.
2. Deductions on All Refunds — GST & Gateway Charges
Before reading the service-specific terms below, please understand what "refundable amount" means in practice.
All prices on Sri Devi Astro are inclusive of applicable Goods and Services Tax (GST) as required under Indian tax law. When you pay for a service:
1. GST component (18% of base price) is collected on behalf of the Government of India and remitted in our periodic GST filings. Once remitted, it cannot be reversed or refunded to us by the government.
2. Payment gateway transaction charges (approximately 2–2.5% of the transaction value) are deducted by Razorpay at the time of the original transaction and are not returned to us even when a refund is processed.
Therefore, any approved refund will be processed for the net amount received by Sri Devi Astro after deduction of:
(a) Payment gateway charges: approximately 2–2.5% of the transaction value
(b) GST component: 18% of the base service price
Example: If you paid ₹1,000 for a service and qualify for a refund, the refundable amount is approximately ₹820–840, not ₹1,000. The remaining amount represents GST remitted to the Government of India and payment gateway fees — neither of which Sri Devi Astro retains.
We understand this may seem unusual, and we keep it explicitly stated here rather than in fine print. If you have questions about this before purchasing, please contact us.
3. Consultation Bookings
Cancellation window:
• More than 24 hours before the scheduled session: refund of the net amount (see Section 2 for deductions), processed within 5–7 business days.
• Within 24 hours of the scheduled session: no refund. You may reschedule once at no charge, subject to astrologer availability.
• No-show without prior notice: non-refundable.
Rescheduling:
You may reschedule your session up to 2 hours before the appointment at no charge by contacting us at srideviastro256@gmail.com or via WhatsApp. Permitted once per booking.
Session conducted but unsatisfactory:
If you feel a completed consultation did not meet the described service, contact us within 48 hours with details. We will review individually and may offer a complimentary follow-up at our discretion. We do not issue refunds for completed sessions as the astrologer's time and preparation cannot be recovered.
4. Written Astrology Reports
Pre-delivery cancellation:
• Within 2 hours of payment, before work has commenced: refund of the net amount (see Section 2 for deductions).
• After the astrologer has begun research on your report: no refund, as significant skilled work has already been invested.
Delivery delay by us:
If a report is not delivered within the stated timeframe (24 hours for ₹499 reports; 48–72 hours for other reports) due to a reason on our end, you are entitled to a refund of the net amount. Delivery delays caused by incorrect or incomplete birth details provided by you do not qualify for a refund.
Report quality concern:
If your report contains significant factual errors (e.g., incorrect chart generated due to a data entry error on our part), contact us within 7 days of delivery. We will issue a corrected report or a partial refund at our discretion.
Digital delivery note:
Reports are delivered as PDF files to your registered email. Once delivered and accessed, reports are non-refundable except as stated above.
5. Mobile App Purchases
In-app purchases and subscriptions for our Android apps (Astro Mitra, Panchanga Mitra, Astro Pravesh) are sold and billed through Google Play Billing.
All in-app purchases and subscription billing are governed by Google Play's refund policies, not ours. To request a refund for an app purchase:
1. Open the Google Play Store on your device
2. Go to Menu → Account → Order history
3. Select the relevant purchase and tap "Request a refund"
Google typically allows refund requests within 48 hours of purchase.
If you are outside the Google Play refund window and have a legitimate concern (e.g., duplicate charge, billing error), contact us at srideviastro256@gmail.com with your Google Play order ID and a description of the issue. We will review on a case-by-case basis.
6. Non-Refundable Situations
The following are not eligible for refunds under any circumstances:
• Consultation sessions cancelled within 24 hours of the scheduled time
• Completed consultation sessions (the astrologer's preparation and time cannot be recovered)
• No-shows without prior notice
• PDF reports already delivered to your registered email
• Cases where inaccurate birth details were submitted by you, resulting in an incorrect chart or report
• App subscription time already elapsed beyond the Google Play refund window
7. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund for a consultation or report:
1. Email srideviastro256@gmail.com with the subject line "Refund Request"
2. Include: your full name, booking or order reference, date of purchase, and reason for your request
3. We will acknowledge your request within 2 business days and provide a resolution within 5 business days
Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method:
• UPI / Net Banking: 3–5 business days
• Credit / Debit Card: 5–7 business days (depends on your bank)
• Razorpay Wallet: 1–2 business days
For app purchase refunds, please follow the Google Play process described in Section 5.
